Jealousy!

Cody Meets Cassie.jpg

Alfonso is so sweet.  He loves showing me off to his friends.  He introduces me to everyone as his “sexy niece.”  We are basically the same age, but since Alfonso was my mom’s younger brother, he is literally my uncle.  Literally.  We are very close.

Alfonso is always fussing over me.  He likes to pick out the clothes I wear and he’s always suggesting that I do this or do that to my hair.  I think it is sweet.  He showers me with gobs of attention.   For Christmas, he bought me a lacy pink bra and panty set.  He’s so thoughtful.

Alfonso is like super-duper protective.  If a guy even looks at me for five seconds, Alfonso gets all defensive.  This is a problem, for lots of guys turn their heads when I walk by.  I’m drop dead gorgeous.   Guys can’t resist eyeballing drop dead gorgeous gals like me.  What’s the big deal?  A little flirting with a cute guy is totally harmless.  Well, Alfonso didn’t see it this way. He wanted to “protect” me from guys.  I tried telling Alfonso that I don’t want to be “protected.”  I like attention from a good-looking guy.  I love to be noticed.  God made me super gorgeous for a reason, so why hide my stuff?

One night, Alfonso’s friend Cody Wagner stopped by the house for a visit.  I don’t mind telling you this Cody Wagner is one hunky, sugar-coated heart throb.  And I could tell that Cody liked what he saw when I entered the room.  I asked Alfonso to introduce me to his friend, but I could tell Alfonso was about to go into his “Protect Cassie Mode.”  I think it’s kind of sweet that he is jealous and wants to protect me from guys, but like I said, I don’t want protection.  I like being with guys.  I like being with them a lot.

Anyway, Cody caught Alfonso off guard when he asked, “Would you mind if I asked your niece out?  Maybe she’d like to play miniature golf or race go-carts.”

Alfonso’s face turned beet red. “Well, uh, I don’t know.  I think Cassie and I already have plans.”

Cody said, “Let’s ask Cassie.”  And then he turned to me and asked, “Do you like go-carts or miniature golf?”

I said, “Sure!”

Cody then asked, “Would you go out with me tomorrow night?”

I said, “If Nana doesn’t mind, yeah, I’d like to go out tomorrow night.”

Alfonso did not appear happy.  Actually, he looked pretty pissed.  He said, “Maybe I’ll tag along with you.”

Cody laughed. “Alfonso, I am not going to hurt your niece.  If she wants you to tag along, that’s okay, but maybe she thinks that three’s a crowd.  Let her decide if she needs a chaperone.”

I looked at Alfonso and said, “I love you bunches, Fonz, but maybe I’ve been taking up too much of your time.  You need a break from me, so Cody and I will go alone.”

Alfonso was not happy.  I told him that I am a big girl, and that I can take care of myself (as I have proven time and time again), but Alfonso was put out with me when I said I did not need a chaperone.  Besides, if anyone needed protection, it was Cody.  I really liked this boy’s looks.
